The Deer in the Yard

Quick post... mainly to just put up a pic. But we have been getting deer in the yard quite frequently.
Neela wants to pet them and our cat, Terrence, thinks he can hunt them...

Traveling with the cats was easy! Way easier than expected, except we had to take them out of the carriers at the airport which totally freaked them out:O and us!
The best part about the hotel was the empty indoor pool! Every time we went swimming we were the only ones at the pool, and the girls loved it!
The girls already found their favorite spots in the house! One of them being the back windows, where they can watch the squirrels raid all of the bird feeders.

Halloween Costumes!

Okay so this is a bit late but here are the costumes I sewed for the girls. I haven't sewn anything since finishing these, my sewing machine hasn't even come out of it's case since moving here! But I do have a lot of projects to do:D

Twirl Skirt

So I made a skirt for Sydney's birthday party she wanted something with dinosaurs on it but we couldn't find anything at the store. I found a really easy tutorial and used it. I was very easy, but didn't turn out quite the way I wanted. It wasn't really twirly, and it came looking stiff. I thought I would make another one with a little different fabric, still the same. I think I am going to try again with a little softer fabric and add some more twirl to it, by using some more fabric.

Winter to Summer

There is this dress that Neela loves, but it is long sleeves and when she wants to wear it now it is too hot and then she complains. So I made it a summer dress. Nothing really hard, it took me like 20 minutes, although she screamed the whole time because she thought I was "breaking" her dress. She even told on me to daddy:O





But now she loves it just as much as she did before and wants to wear every time it is clean!

Intro

Okay so here we go. I was sorta pressured into the whole blog thing by a certain friend of mine... although she hasn't been keeping up with hers. Maybe I can keep her motivated and in return maybe it will motivate me to sew more, so I can show it off!!
So besides being busy with everything, I am fitting in time to make a reversible pinafore and another apron. I will put up pics as soon as I can and definitely when I finish:D
I just finish a bag, I guess it would be considered a hobo bag, I lined it and added a brown dove to the outside. I loved the green but it was really boring without anything. Sorry for the bad quality it was dark and no good lighting.
And no I wasn't trying to look ultra cool, I just look that way naturally:P
